Before her recent retirement, Emily worked in the criminal justice system for over 22 years, where she developed numerous programs specifically designed to provide interventions for federally incarcerated Indigenous male offenders. Emily received numerous awards for her work, including the Distinguished Alumni Award from her Alma mater (UFV). Emily is a certified substance abuse and trauma counsellor, providing cultural services and workshops across Canada.

Jenn is a Metis woman from Saskatchewan now residing in Winchester, Ontario. She worked in the government helping assist with cultural competence, Indigenous policy and more. She ran her own courier company for six years and has now moved to freelance writing and working on Reconciliation Action Plans. Jenn’s specific skillset is bridging culture and corporate together for win/win situations and is able to break things down into ways that everyone wants to be part of the solution.
